Remembrance Day Service

Poppy

Dunlop Kirk, 11.30am, SUNDAY, 10th NOVEMBER, 2013

In response to enquiries made, I can confirm that the Community Council will not be organising anything this year along similar lines to last, when the ending of National Service was also commemorated.  However, members of the Community Council thought it would be nice to arrange for men and women, who had served in H.M. Forces – if they so wished – to be seated towards the front for the church service, alongside members of the uniformed group and wreath bearers.  The Rev. David Donaldson is in full agreement with such an arrangement, saying that he would be happy for as many people as possible to come.

In order to get numbers and seating ‘sorted out’  I now require names of persons (including friends and relatives) who would wish to avail themselves of this arrangement.  You can do this by e.mail (dunlopolis@btinternet.com) : a phone call (01562484024) or a wee note through my door at 29 Westview Terrace, Dunlop!
