SCAM WARNING

It’s that time of year again, with many people in a rush, so much to do and so little time it is easy to be caught out by scammers.  There are a few ‘Parcel Scams’ on the go.

Post Card Scam – you return home and there is a card through your letterbox. “SORRY you were out. To rearrange delivery please call us on – “ The number will be a premium line and cost you money you can ill afford. AND there is NO parcel.

The postcard could look similar to Royal Mails , UPS or some other delivery company. If you aren’t expecting a parcel then the card will probably be fake.

Email Scam – Similar to the above. You receive an email which will ask you to click a link to rearrange delivery OR print off a receipt which you have to present at the sorting office/ storage yard. The link could install malware on your computer/device.

Scammers are adapting their approach all the time.

If you are expecting deliveries and you receive a card, check with the company you ordered from.

Take care and have a safe Christmas.
